Sound Waves Recording Studio Sound Waves is the name of my new recording studio. It was constructed in 2009 and resides on the 2nd floor of my home in Gilbert, Arizona. The reason I chose to create a small home studio was my firm belief that most musical artists can't afford to go to a large recording facility. Additionally, advances in technology have reduced the necessity for large facilities. The end result is that I can charge a fraction of what big studio's charge and achieve the same professional results. How? You might ask? When I was recording in Nashville in 2006 I noticed what equipment the big studio's used and took copious notes. What I have done is re-created the signal chain of those facilities on a much smaller scale. The result is the same quality in a smaller facility. This benefits artists dramatically because it gives them the quality they need without going broke! This is very important because the recording is only one part of the equation. Marketing, photo shoots, promotion, and many other expenses also have to be accounted for. Ultimately, if a musician spends the entire budget on recording all they wind up with is a box a small Frisbee’s to give to family and friends!!!
